Nothing like a Saturday afternoon spent with a stressful glueup 😬 60 mins that will transform a weeks worth of work into either a finished piece, or firewood. You never really get used to it, only better at managing it.

Fine-tuning the depth of those grooves. I prefer to cut the walls on the tablesaw, and then clean the bottoms like this. Much more precise.

I was so excited to get this monster 16" Moak jointer into my shop that I almost forgot to take a picture of it! After the freight company "lost" it for a week, it finally got delivered today. Can't wait to start it up!

The recently-delivered red cedar desk, basking in the evening sun. Stainless steel counter height legs. With the remaining cutoffs, I also made a paper tray and pencil holder for the desk, as a gift to the client, since she mentioned she has a ton of papers. She was delighted with it!

Delivered these stunning cookie coffee tables today. These both look wonderful in their new home, and they also have a fantastic history. The tops came from the base of a red cedar tree that fell on the client's property during our last hurricane, and the legs are reclaimed western cedar cutoffs from the pergola they recently had built.

Working on a audio rack commission, featuring ebonized maple uprights. I do love how you can see the subtle figure throughout the maple still. Btw, is ebonized a word? Autocorrect keeps telling me no 🤔..

My custom stamp came in today and I got to practice on a few business cards. This white ink is tricky to use, since it's comparatively thick. It's not perfect, and repeatability is difficult, so I'm not 100% set on it. However, I am happy with how the solid walnut cards worked out! At 1/16" thick, I wasn't sure they'd be practical. After a little experimenting though, I found if you trim them slightly smaller than the average card, they fit almost perfect in a wallet. I'll be looking for an alternative to the stamp, but at least for now I have something that'll stand out.

Still a lot of work to go, but I'm liking the way it's coming. The first of 2 coffee tables being commissioned.

Modeling some business card designs. I don't have anything right now, and there have been a few opportunities recently where I wish I had. I'm really liking this though and my childhood origami skills are really paying off here haha!
