‘REST DAY’ ☺️ today is my rest day and by rest day I don’t mean sitting in the same space for hours at a time.
Due to my busy event schedule I take days off from classes if I know I’m going to be on my feet all day running around an event 👣 on average, despite having a 9-6 office job I probably cover 12,000 steps daily... What I mean by this is that I think a lot of us get into a habit of panicking if we haven’t been to a class every day and feel sluggish when we don’t but as long as you keep moving it really doesn’t matter. I used to do 6/7 classes a week which wasn’t healthy nor was it attainable so on weeks where I was busy with work I would struggle to keep this up and worry about losing definition and putting on weight. This is an unhealthy mindset.
Rest days are important but it doesn’t mean you have to sit still, go for a long walk, stretch out your muscles 🙏🏼 listening to your body is incredibly important, we all must do it more often ☝🏽 📷 by @elundqvist.photo
