Who are your favorite shifters in romance? What paranormal romances would you recommend? Share with me in the comments!
It is all watercolor paint. I started with a white polish base with a matte top coat, which I find makes a good canvas for watercolors. It's a lion, but hopefully you were able to tell that?
We are fast approaching Halloween so, let's talk paranormal romance! Specifically shifters. Like many, I cut my teeth on werewolves and wolf shifters as my first PNR books. Then, I discovered other shifters, some of my favorites being big cat shifters. What did they all have in common? They are strong, tough & loyal. Many of them have a strong core circle of support. A built in family and/or friendship dynamic that helps develop individual characters and foster a connection to the series.
Let's not forget to mention the amazing world building in a #PNR.
Whether humans know about shifters or not, the worlds are complex and interesting.
Ones I've really enjoyed:
Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series
All of Shelly Laurenston's different shifter series
Christine Warren the Others
Shiloh Walker the Hunters series
More on the UF spectrum:
Ilona Andrews the Kate Daniels series (Curran is one of the yummiest of yummy lions).
Patricia Briggs Mercedes Thompson
And, since I have been reading more M/M romance, I can't leave that out.
Megan Erickson's Silver Tip Pack is a dystopian, werewolf and zombie werewolf series. What? Yes, all those things...definitely worth a read.
I haven't dipped my toe into MPREG, but I have Leta Blake's Slow Heat toward the top of my TBR list.
What m/m PNRs is everyone reading? Obviously, I require some recs for that.
