Two of the tools used for tonights sweat session. Bundle up, hoody, socks (no toe shoes 😔), pants, and pick 3-5 different exercises/machines to put some quick work into.
I chose... In order... Assault Bike - 30s moderate 30s fast 30s easy 30s moderate - Repeat 5x for 10min.
Rope Trainer (sitting on butt, legs slightly bent) - 90s easy. 60s moderate. 30s hard. Repeat till 1000 feet.
SKIERG 30s on 30s off for 10min - stroke rate > 55.
ViPR Lateral Shuffle - 2min on.
TRX Bodysaw x 10reps.
Built up a solid sweat! And was out the gym in just about 50min.
18.4 - you little monster!
I was debating on scaling vs RXing or RXing the deadlift and scaling the rest. I haven’t yet gotten all my upper body strength and archery strength back since after pregnancy but I am happy I tried to RX it.
This movement is something I need massive amounts of improvement on but I’m happy I used this opportunity for some practice. Although my score wasn’t ideal, I’m happy I got some HSPUs! It’s all about progress.
My high school cross country coach used to remind us, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only soft people.” (Quote from the legendary Bill Bowerman). Likewise, there’s no such thing as a bad obstacle in @spartanrace (except maybe this one?☝️). Reminding myself that no matter how much it rains during my long run tomorrow, at least it isn’t this water I’ll be soaked in. Tell yourself that on your next rainy run or bike ride 😄💦 #weekendwarrior#spartan#spartanrace#getafterit#spartantraining#workoutmotivation
