A portrait of Morgan Feeney in the seat where he has his Season Ticket in the Lower Gwladys Street.
This photograph was taken on Saturday before the match against Huddersfield Town.
Having come on as a late substitute against Atalanta last month, he is expected to make his full debut for @everton
in tonight’s Europa League match away to Cypriot club Apollon Limassol.
The defender, 18, is the Captain of the clubs U23’s side and has also worn the armband for @england
Sitting a row in front, I recognised him since last season through the coverage of the academy. I thought it would be a nice idea to get a photo of him in his seat at this stage of his career. (Unfortunately I have slipped up and put my finger on the lens)
The significance of the fans being behind him and the fact he is the only one to be looking at the camera gives off the effect that our own are amongst us. It’s also important to see some detail of the stand as well as part of the banner, a series which I’ve enjoyed seeing in the Upper Gwladys, on this occasion encouraging the support of local food banks.
For me this is a perfect representation of what football is all about and signifies the tradition at Everton Football Club of giving opportunities to young players coming through - in the academy, from the stands to playing in the first team and achieving their dreams.
He will join a list of fellow Evertonians to have made the special journey and can hopefully continue his success to go on and make many more appearances for the club.
