. Mass chest builder - Inclined Bench Press . So chest... a big favourite of most people. How to develop a big chest? . No secrets here, works the same as any other muscle. Progression and variety. Make sure you target your chest in different ways and angles. Make sure you keep progressing - either reps, time under tension, weight, rest time, etc. Today we focus on the upper chest. . Upper chest has always been one I struggled with. For some reason, I like to believe it’s not form, I have a hard time focusing on the use of the chest when doing incline press movements - my front delt always wants to take over. . If you tend to have issues with this exercise, try some of these techniques which I have learned over time: . 1 - Main one is reducing the angle of the bench. The bigger the angle the more the shoulder is involved (which explains why degree all chest, 90 degree all shoulder - angles in the middle works the muscles proportionally). 2 - Try using the smith machine. Using the SM removes the requirement for stabilising muscles, the shoulder tends to take that role. 3 - Make sure you have you shoulder blades pinch together and chest out. 4 - Play with the position of your body relatively to the bar. Ie. where the bar touches your body on the negative. I rather having it close to the upper chest instead of nipple area. 5 - Play width the width of your elbows relatively to the body and the width of your grip . Again totally depends on your body ratios and mechanics. 6 - Amplitude of the movement. You shoulder might take over only on part of the movement. For example the end of the receptions. If that’s the case, you don’t need to do the full rep, focus on the portion that requests the chest muscles. . Guys these are bodybuilding tips - the goal is to work the muscle, break the fibers down, keeping your joints and tendons safe . Thank you FB for bringing this picture to my attentionπŸ‘€ Seeing this has made me realize how much progress I've made since weight lifting!!πŸ˜πŸ‘ In the left pic I was about a year into seriously starting to work out(I still had so much to learn).. And honestly guys, I actually thought I had a big butt back thenπŸ˜‚ AND I thought I was fat... smhπŸ˜’ Side note, the pose I was making was definitely a joke LOL _ So (in no particular order), I have a couple things that I think are worth mentioning: 1.
