Knicks are one of several teams to express interest in Troy Williams, per league sources. Williams is expected to make a decision on his next destination soon. The 23-year-old 6-7 wing was waived by Houston to make room for Joe Johnson. NYK has an open roster spot at the moment.
Knicks have apparently shown interest in former Indiana University scoring standout, Troy Williams. Last season Williams had time with the Memphis Grizzlies, the Houston Rockets, and the D-League (now “G-League”). I’d love to see us take a chance on another young player on a small contract, especially one of my favorite players from my hometown college, IU.
The Knicks are interested in wing Troy Williams, per league sources.
Williams was recently waived by the Houston Rockets to open a roster spot for Joe Johnson.
This is a prime example of an athletic wing the Knicks said they are looking for, which is likely why they are interested in him.
TNT’s Kenny Smith — a former point guard out of Hollis, Queens — continued that rock-solid tradition with a 10-year career that included two NBA titles with the Houston Rockets.
Kenny “The Jet’’ said Ntilikina and Mudiay each fit the Knicks better than most teams. The club needs playmakers, and they can do it as a tandem. “I think they feel Mudiay or Frank can move over and play together,” Smith said during All-Star Weekend. “Who’s going to be the starter? You got to fight for that. At times, because of the size of both of them physically [both 6-foot-5], they can play together.”
